While many of the concepts and statistics in this book felt familiar, having read about them before, I greatly appreciated the perspective of an author who, through years of professional experience working with twenty-somethings and beyond, has identified common patterns and struggles in this age group. Her insights into the unhelpful thought processes that often shape the experiences of people in their twenties were particularly valuable. The real-life examples and anecdotes from her work with clients brought clarity to how our perception of our twenties can profoundly influence our lives well into the future. These stories also helped me recognize and address assumptions that might hinder my approach to time, relationships, personal growth, work, and family.

The author’s insights illuminated some of the underlying factors driving my own educational and career choices. After finishing the book, I feel inspired to apply her practical recommendations to make the most of my remaining years in my twenties and to build the life I envision beyond that. I highly recommend *The Defining Decade* to anyone looking to gain clarity and direction during this pivotal time!

Everyone aged 15 to 35 should read this book! Can't explain how much it meant to me. Someone is finally saying what we've been feeling for years!

the mini case studies were very relatable and made the book overall quite entertaining to read, feels like something i should read now (early 20s) and check back with again in my late 20s

I liked how informative this was and I appreciated the real life examples used to explain concepts. I don’t really think I got anything concrete, though, as I still am not sure what I specifically need to do what the title tells me to! I enjoyed it

Self help books aren't normally my thing but I enjoyed the science and real life examples. Especially that couples that live together doesn't necessarily indicate success - the opposite, and the actions you take in your 20's set up a content 30's. You learn by doing and creating identity capital in your 20's

This is a nice book for people who being in their late twenties still don't know what to do with their lives. Well I'm just not one of them.
