A deep exploration of the themes of masculinity, patriarchy, mental health, feminism and emotions in just over one hundred pages.
It reads like part memoir, part practical guide and all together useful, reflective and insightful.
I love the hope that this book ignited in me and I want every single man I know to read it.

Uff. Also ich weiß ja nicht. Meiner Meinung nach muss an der deutschsprachigen Übersetzung noch sehr nachgebssert werden (habe es als E-book gelesen). Viele begriffe werden sehr "literal" übersetzt, obwohl es bestimmte Begriffe im deutschsprachigen Diskurs gibt, die sehr gängig sind, aber in diesem Buch nicht genutzt werden (z.B. wird oft von "giftiger" Männlichkeit geredet, statt einfach toxic zu sagen). Manche Sätze ergeben überhaupt keinen Sinn. Viele Kommafehler und Widerholungen; ich gehe davon aus, dass das im englischen Original nicht so ist.
Thematisch sehr sehr basic. Oft werden für theoretische Erklärungen zum Patriachat seltsame Beispiele verwendet, die mich eher verwirren würden, hätte ich nicht andere Bücher als Vorwissen im Hinterkopf.
Für eine gute Einführung in das Thema empfehle ich "Untenrum frei" von Margarete Stokowsoki. Für eine Einführung in das Thema struktureller Diksriminierung passt auch sehr gut das Buch Sprache und Sein von Kübra Gümüşay.

Very informative and easy to read. Clear text, but a little lacking in depth. Very useful information and everyone should read this as this book is so short anyways.
