I went into this book with the knowledge that Facebook, Instagram and Twitter use algorithms in order to present what is shown in your feeds. They base this off simple things like what you typically search for, look at or interact with via commenting or liking a post. However, I wasn’t aware of how much of what I do online is based around these algorithms and it’s interesting to see how they are created and the use of a decision tree.

I’m a very visual learner so I fully appreciate the drawings throughout the book. It broke the information down in a simpler way for me to understand versus trying to make sense of just the words. It really appealed to my way of learning. This is a great book full of wonderful information.
