Thank Goodness That’s Over!!
Again, on my re-read/re-listen journey. Since there are books remaining, and I’ve read them all, I know there’s more Lily & Lo. But it’s the end of the Addicted part of the series.
I’ve read some of KBR’s other books more than 50 times. But this is only the 2nd time I’m reading these. And Lily & Lo are the reason.
You know that stereotypical thing where addicts (alcoholics, mostly) trade one vice for another? Like, if you see an AA meeting, there’s a group outside smoking cigarettes and drinking coffee? Well, Lo just added himself to Lily’s addiction.
Doctor doesn’t recommend anal while pregnant. And it’s been years since they’ve done it. So, let’s get a plug! I’m still eye rolling. He just feeds her compulsions.
Toxic. Codependent. Selfish.
Then we have Daisy wearing a white blouse without a bra to a gathering with board members for Hale Co. I don’t care if she’s small chested, those men are only looking at one thing. Is she trying to distract from her scar? I’m sure it worked.
Now we have Lily, what, weeks from her due date, Lo is still describing her as thin and gangly in the same breath as “we went at it all night” while they are having morning sex. He says they are trying to stockpile for the 6 weeks they won’t be able to. He uses the sentence: I just want to (insert Ryke’s favorite word here) my girlfriend.
Great. Really. But your sex addict girlfriend is 8-9 months pregnant with your kid, you’ve been doing it all night which she isn’t supposed to do, AND shouldn’t she be um I don’t know, getting sleep?!?
OK, twice now Lily has thrown clothes in the trash. Must be nice to be rich. I’m so over it!!
PROS: Hot tempered triad, truth or dare, Jane, Moffy, Willow, Connor Cobalt being the pan nerd star!
CONS: Greg Calloway, Sam Stokes, the teenagers, no tongue in the CoLo kiss 😂
Just a side note, the first couple days of August in Villanova/Philadelphia area is still very much summer weather. We are not in between summer and fall in this area. It’s hot, it’s humid, and we love our AC!!

At times this book was a little slow (or i just need a lil break from this series lol) but i did really enjoy it
6/5 ⭐️
THIS WAS SO CUTE OMG I FUCKING LOVE LOREN AND LILY
THIS WAS SO CUTE OMG I FUCKING LOVE LOREN AND LILY
This book is 500+ pages but I feel like absolutely nothing happened in it, except lily and rose fuckin had babies. Ugh. Anyway, there was no plot whatsoever and it wasn’t really angsty at all. Im so bummed that my initial love of this series is going down a little bit, but I still love the characters and I keep reading for them. I’m ready for the next books because i don’t know if I can read from lily’s pov anymore
not gonna lie, I was going to rate it 3.5 stars because despite liking it somehow it wasn't attracting me enough to keep reading all day and night.
It was a hard decision but I love the core six too much to not close an eye and raise it to 4.
The book as per usual is well written and very emotional, their bond is what people dream to have, me included, and it warms my heart.
If there was a competition of who loves their partner more, i think LiLo would win without even having to partecipate.
