Are we even surprised that I'm giving another Addicted installment a five star rating? I'm for sure as hell not! It's amazing how much I've grown attached to this series/characters like I have genuine love for each and every one of them. Honestly so much happened in this book that it's hard to sum up all of my thoughts so I'll try to keep this as coherent as I can. One of the things I love about what this series has evolved into is that although Lily & Lo are the main couple in this, you still get a feeling that it's an ensemble series. Especially if you have read the two Calloway sisters books which are really what has shaped this series into what it is now. I haven't read any of the novellas because I read the two companion books and you didn't have to read Thrive to know what's going on in this.

I will be the first to admit that Lily & Lo were never the selling point of this series to me. I remember finishing Addicyed to You thinking that it was cute but I wasn't very excited to read a whole other book of angst with them. Mostly I felt that their charactiziation was reliant on their addictions so it left me feeling kind of bored. I skipped the next two books and went straight to Kiss the Sky which is still my favorite in the entire series. However, I really think the writing and development of Lily & Lo has improved ever since. I still think Connor and Rose are my favorite couple but Lily & Lo really shined in this book.

I loved everything to do with the events leading up to Jane and Maximoff's births. I loved watching Rose transition into motherhood but still keep her independence and staying true to her character. I loved seeing Lily really get a hold on her addiction, and seeing her become a mother was so cute. Also, Lo really stepped it up in this book with deciding to become the CEO of Hale Co. and his interactions with Garrison and Willow. All of it was so enjoyable to read and omg I almost forgot about Connor saying to him that he loves him. I almost cried it was so emotional. And that kiss that happened in Cancun I'm actually screaming it was EVERYTHING! I love Connor and Lo's relationship so much it is so very important me.

Ryke and Lo's relationship in this was amazing too! I am so happy to see how far they've come and ughit just means so much to me. The little moments we got of Ryke & Daisy were cute as well. I miss them! I'm looking forward to seeing them again in LWD but I heard it's an emotional read and I'm really afraid for my babies. I think I'm going to take a little bit of a break before starting Fuel the Fire because I know Connor & Rose are going to put me through the ringer so I need to prepare for my parents.

“Lily and I—we may have started our relationship as pretend.
But for as long as I can remember, our love has always been real.”

“If someone ever asks how long we’ve spent together, I’d say for as long as my mind stretches back. I can’t tell you the day that I fell in love with you because there wasn’t a single day that I didn’t.” My voice shakes with more joy than I’ve ever known. “You have the purest parts of my heart, and I’m certain that in every alternate universe, I’m always, always in love with you.”
