lily and lo
i think, at this point, we all know that if a book it’s about LiLo, i’ll rate it 5 stars.
in my eyes, they can do no wrong.
my forever babies, gonna miss reading in their pov’s so much (this is the last book solely about them, so let me grieve in peace)
but yeah, i can now say, with the most absolutely certainty, that lily and lo are my number ONE book couple.
actually, it’s been that way for a while now…
My finger skims the blue paint on his ribs, the place so red beneath that I wonder if it’ll bruise. And I just hug Lo, my arms flying around his waist. The idea of a real bullet slicing through his skin nearly chokes the breath from my lungs. To lose Loren Hale is to lose my life. It’s these moments—of catastrophic change and brutal, ugly fatality—that I recognize how deeply I love him.
-
So seeing him, right now, dancing in the middle of the club, with no alcohol in his clutch—it possesses me in ways that I can’t express. It’s like my soul is alive. Like I’ve woken up from a long, long sleep.
-
Laughter emanates from their huddle, and Lo’s is the loudest, the most full-bellied and jam-packed with true happiness. My eyes sting with emotion. Loren Hale is laughing. It shouldn’t be a rare phrase. But it is. I am most happy when he is happy. The same, I know, applies to him.
-
“Seven-year-old Lily loved being married to me,” I tell her with a weak smile. “I gave you a million piggyback rides.” “You said that’s what married couples do,” she notes, her eyes right on mine. My hands fall to her hips. “Someday I’m going to make it right again,” I say softly.
-
“Fly away with me, Lily Calloway?” She whispers, “Only if we make-believe that we never, ever have to grow up.” “There’s a problem with that, love,” I say, carrying her on my back across the deck. “What’s that?” she asks, and I picture her adorable crinkled brows. I’m smiling more than I have all night. “Our make-believe always turns out real.”
From our pretend weddings, to our pretend relationship—in the end, it’s all become reality. And I would love to never, ever grow up with Lily Calloway. In one universe, we’ll be young forever.
-
“I want to wait for Maximoff. When he’s a little older. Maybe three or four. We could take a trip together.” Lightness bursts in his eyes, something that lifts me ten feet in the air. I am soaring inside. “He can’t be sorted until he’s eleven,” Lo reminds me. “Okay,” I nod, knowing that’s the rules. I’m a proud Hufflepuff. Lo is a bitter Slytherin. And together I kind of wonder what our child will be.
-
Oh my God. He has the cutest dimpled cheeks and little nose. At six pounds, two ounces, he came out a bit small but a lot heart-stoppingly adorable. It sounds cheesy, but it’s my baby. I feel like the cheese-factor rises once you reproduce. “You melt every time you see him,” Lo tells me. “Here, so you can drool a little longer.” I gape as he hands Maximoff off to me. “That’s so mean, Loren.” “I’m only stating the truth, Lily Martha.”
-
“Love,” I breathe, my heart aching. I hug her closer, melding her small, wiry frame to my body. And my lips brush her ear. “You and me.” She chokes on a laugh. “Lily and Lo.” My chest swells. “We’re going to make it in the end.” I smile wide because I can see it now. God, I can see it. It’s closer than I ever realized.
-
“I knew from the beginning that we’d be addicted after all.” His amber eyes bore straight through me. “I just didn’t know whether we’d be at a better place than we were before.”
-
He is ice and scotch, sharp and dizzying—breathtakingly gorgeous. And when he looks at me, I see those thousands of memories course through his gaze. The seven-year-old us performing a backyard ceremony. The nine-year-old us racing around his father’s mansion. The fifteen-year-old us flipping through comic books on his bed. We have consumed each other from day one. And we truly never let go.
-
In the very happiest moment of my life I learn three things: I am strong. I have powers. And my soul meets Loren Hale’s in every kiss. When the curtains on my universe close, he will still be with me. That, I’m sure of.
-
Every single part of me is alive today. And it’ll be tomorrow. I’m not dying in my own body anymore. I am truly living. Peace courses through me. It’s the quiet that I never thought existed. And the heaven that I never believed was meant for me. Lily and I—we may have started our relationship as pretend. But for as long as I can remember, our love has always been real.

This book was amazing. Lily and Lo have become one of my favorite fictional couples. Their journey has been long, happy, romantic, beautiful, sad and filled with ups and downs.
This book felt like a valentine to the fans. Just all around heart-warming. These characters feel like family after 7 books and there's still 3 more in the full series!
Definitely recommend reading the Addicted series with the Calloway sisters series in recommend reading order as per the Ritchie's website.
I'm so grateful I found this series because it's become one of my favorites.

Lily and Lo's wedding vows are the most beautiful words I have ever read
