I shed a lot of tears reading this which mean this book have my whole heart the characters been through so much that you just feel happy to see how far they become i love the found family trope in this book so much
Welcome back, Lily and Lo. Not that they’ve gone too far, but it was nice returning to a story that is centered on them.
The amount of emotional growth Lo has experienced throughout the series is very apparent in this book. He is a man now, and a very decent, strong, and level-headed one at that.
Although Lily continues to battle her sex addiction, she is more in control than ever. She is goofy and sometimes immature. However, I suspect that her quirkiness is part of her true nature that was not as evident previously because she was overcome with her addictive tendencies. Her quirks are adorable.
The descriptive writing seems more repetitive here. Maybe I just didn’t notice it before, but I found it distracting. For example, I don’t understand the fascination with eye color. Rose is known for her steely glare, but I lost count of the number of times her “yellow-green” eyes is emphasized. Is it really that important?
There is a load of absorbing family drama as well as lots of humor. It’s just what I’ve come to love and expect from this entertaining series.
