I'm so glad to have read this book. This is probably the most convincing book of Christian faith that I've ever read. The author describes in plain and straightforward language her faith and the way that her faith colors her view of the world and her interpretation of nearly every circumstance. She doesn't shy away from noting her own doubts about the faith and accompanying worldview, then describes how, for her, faith was reinforced. While I don't share her beliefs, I found them genuinely moving and the telling of her story both harrowing and strangely optimistic. Absolutely compelling and highly recommended for anyone interested in either a spiritual book or an interesting perspective on WWII.

A BEAUTIFUL story. It’s written so well, and really shows us the hardships of the Holocaust. I recommend to anyone interested in History or eye-openers. It in fact is a true story.

Wonderful, horrible, inspiring, powerful, heartfelt, and so full of faith in the darkest of times. Corrie Ten Boom was an incredible woman and everyone should read about her life.

I enjoy learning more about this time period in history. Although terrible, the beauty of hope shines through the cracks of the dirty exterior of the time. I am amazed at the closeness of the family, the deep faith they shared, and the acts of selfless love amongst family, friends, and strangers. If you have interest in any of these topics, this book is for you.

I usually hate reading non fiction, but this book is a masterpiece. I was surprised at how it read like a novel, and how everyone felt like people that you knew and loved. I love their understanding on God, and how he is still there in so circumstances. Very good.

Really really enjoyed the story of Corrie ten Boom's life. Her story of continuing to preach truth and love in the midst of one of the greatest horrors of our time is truly inspiring. Then to take it even further the message of forgiveness is truly incredible. Great reminder of the grace and mercy that Christ not only offers us but those that have wronged us as well.
