LOVED. I can’t believe it took me this long to get around to reading this amazing book. Heartbreaking and inspiring. Reading about Corrie and her family’s story really makes you realize what we take for granted, and especially the power of recognizing God’s hand in everything.

This is by far, one of the most difficult books I've read. Difficult in that it's emotionally wrenching. I find myself having to stop, mostly because I have tears running down my face. Then, I have to stop and read something else lighter.
The experiences the Ten Boom family went through during the German occupation of Holland is a portrait in Christian faith and love. Because they helped in hiding Jews, they were imprisoned by the Germans. Corrie's father died 10 days after being arrested. Corrie and her sister Betsy were eventually sent to Ravensbruck concentration camp, where Betsy died. Through all this, their faith in God helped them through all the pain and suffering.

I read this in 8th grade and it was one of the first book's that really made me think about how I would have survived in the Holocaust, and how far I would go to save people from evil. This book is the amazing and awe inspiring story of faith, love, and bravery for what you believe in. Corrie ten Boom went to such great lengths to help others. Makes me think how far I would go to save someone? I always would want to believe that I will help someone even though it might endanger your family.

The classic true story of grace and courage. Corrie ten Boom has been one of my heroes since I was thirteen, and I've never come across anything about her that has done anything other than deepen my admiration for her and her seemingly boundless capacity for forgiveness. When speaking to American evangelicals, she once snorted and said "You Americans. You lose an election and think the world is coming to an end." Once you know her story, that statement is damning and convicting.

Read it. It's awesome.

Nuff said.

One of my favourites. I love the way Corrie ten Boom writes. She's very poetic in a simple, honest, open way. I remember being completely blown away (during my first read) by how hopeful and joyful her family remained, even in the face of unspeakable horrors.

This book is incredibly inpiring. I reread it this year so that I could highlight all my favourite parts; I'll be sending a copy to one of my best friends.

Wow what an inspiring and amazing story. I wish I’d read it sooner.

i went into this completely tired of Corrie ten Boom's story. i'd seen the film, the animated version, heard an "impersonator" give a presentation

nothing is like the book, it's fantastic, inspiring and actually page-turning
hopeful inspiring reflective slow-paced

This book is good. Corrie Ten Boom rocks!
