well, this is a classic. duh. it's fun to read the version with german on one side, english on the
other. watch out, though: it's an archaic german.

I gave myself some time to think about what my review will look like for this one. since I haven’t had the chance to have to read it for school, I read it now.
I must say, this was the first time I encountered anything by Göthe, and I really liked it. despite the fact that Mr. Göthe likes to describe women as weak and men as strong, it was beautifully written. he has also complimented women in such a beautiful way that this evens my issue out…
In my opinion, Mephisto was slaying with everything he said and did lol.
Faust was so depressing but he had a point I guess? He was so educated and still was eager for knowledge, so much that he’d sell his soul for this unlimited knowledge. I mean, where are my academic validation and well read smart girlies at?
the fact that Faust was written in 1829 and is somehow portraying our modern lives with the aim for pleasure and knowledge is astonishing to me.

Honestly enjoyed it quite a bit more than I'd expected to!
