okay it’s more like 3.5. it was for sure the best book of the series. HOWEVER there were too many spelling mistakes and issues with editing

This book was a let down after the first two books. It really needed some editing and it tried to tackle too many plots at once, which made all of the conflicts feel rushed and unresolved.

I was really enthralled with this series in the beginning. It had a great plot and lore for the first two books, and the tension and angst between Antonio and Carmen reminded me of my old wattpad days. But coming into book three, I figured this book would go out with a bang, but instead it went out with a sizzle. There's two separate conflicts happening in this book, the Queen of Air and Shadow and also Gálvez. I feel like there needed to be another book to give each of these conflicts their time to shine and be properly written about or just focused on one and gave it more details. I understand that this book is marketed towards YA / teens but it felt rushed. The plot did not move smoothly.

As others mentioned, there's an abundance of grammatical errors in this book, which distracts from the already lacking plot.

I enjoyed this series being bilingual. I also loved the developing relationship between Antonio and Carmen.

All and all this series had so much potential and it fell flat. I don't really feel enticed to see what else comes out of this world which is sad but I'm off the hype.

This was good, but pretty anticlimactic for a series ending. It really could have been finished in book 2. Other than that, I did enjoy learning more about Carmen's backstory and what happened to her family. I wish there was more information about the queen.

This series was everything. I loved it so much. A badass heroine. A tortured older man. Blood magic. Enemies to lovers. Betrayal. Plot twists. I could go on and on.

I was sad it was over. The ending was done so well!! It was done a bit differently than most chosen one tropes, and I really loved the author for this. I don't want to spoil it, so you'll just have to read for yourself!

This book helped bring everything full circle with the story created with the first two books. You really get to see Carmen’s emotional journey as she deals with everything that has happened to her. She really grows as a character. I still love Antonio! He is so sweet and really tries his best, even if sometimes he gets it wrong. This book really tells a story about survival, love, friendship, and self-growth with some magic and political intrigue interwoven throughout the story.
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
