A good ending to the series, although the climax was somewhat anticlimactic and predictable. What a power trip. From a mortal boy to all of that, a boy who the entire time was moaning for his old life -- which I personally do not understand. I'd more be like, YEAH, Power!! ;D Probably a good reason for why I shouldn't ever be chosen..
An enjoyable read, with 1 star docked for the too-pat ending. Recommended.

The Will and the Old Man came together to form the Architect, who was bored of life and limitless power and wanted to die; the glitch was, the Old Man was a part of herself with whom she disagreed, and chained with an indestructible chain. So long as the chains remain, the Old Man would be caged, would not re-unite with the Architect and she could not die. She told this after letting Nothing destroy everything, then stepped into Nothing herself. Arthur is now the creator of the universe. An enjoyable read, with 1 star docked for the too-pat ending. It was a good series, but I believe that the House was a bit too unpredictable and too uncontrollable.

Quite a satisfying ending to the series. I liked the ending and the plot twist where Arthur becomes the Architect through the Will, which destroys the entire House in order to release the Architect from her job. . The whole plot and world was fascinating.

I didn’t see the big reveal ending coming, so the twist did get me. It made sense within the context of the story but it still wasn’t 100% satisfying to me, and I’m not really sure why.
The book was very readable (finished in the wee hours of the morning) and enjoyable overall, but because of the ending not my favourite. It’s hard to know what exactly to rate it, because it was well-written, and the only issue with the resolution was that it wasn’t to my taste (I didn’t entirely understand why none of the key holders just…told Arthur why they didn’t want to hand over the keys?).

Fantastic ending to a very interesting series. The decision he makes at the end is to be expected, but still effective
Endings are hard, I suppose. I just wasn't that thrilled with the explanation given for why everything was happening.
This was very fast paced. It felt like everything happened so fast. I appreciated the split in perspectives, it fleshed out the difference happenings of the ending but...what happened to Leaf? Why What give her name perspective and then never explain what happens to her? At that, what happens to Arthur now he's near immortal? Who else was reborn? What about the mum? I felt like it needed more closure for the characters we spent 7 books caring about.
I've got no complaints about the writing, it hits the points it needs to, the style is as effective as Garth Nix always is. The But characters are complex and well written. It's good...except I can't shake the meh feeling I got from that ending.
