It was a very interesting read, and also quite sobering at times: finding out negative aspects of something you like is never easy, but is also very important to do, and that is what this book does. There were a lot of things I didn’t know, as I am not well versed on Swedish history, so it was very informative and gave context to certain things that I’ve experienced. However I wasn’t massively keen on the writing style - it didn’t always feel cohesive, and given that the book is billed as “25 ideas that created a country” - some of the “25 ideas” felt petty to include - almost like the author had run out of ideas. It was still an informative read, but definitely not one I would read again.
