The Delany sisters are full of wisdom and encouragement. I am grateful they agreed to share their story for this book.

This was a great book and loved learning about these sisters' lives. I'm amazed at how their mental capacity had not diminished at all when they were in their early 100s to be able to co-write this book. It's amazing to read their perspective on things that have happened in America and to them within a century. Both sisters have very different but great personalities so it's fun to see the varied perspectives they would have on the same event.

LOVED this book! It is so interesting to follow a set of sisters who spent over 100 years together-what they saw and survived! Incredible!

I didn't love everything about this book but I thought it offered a very important perspective on racism in America.

This book was pretty much like listening to your grandmother tell you stories. It's definitely not for everyone as it is pretty simply written. Some events that you would think would be given more attention are sort of glossed over. But, these two women went through a lot in their lives and didn't become bitter or mean. They mostly just want to live their lives and help people, and that's kind of inspiring.

African American centenarians recount stories of their lives so far, including the racism and anti-feminism they dealt with, all with their chins up and strong moral fiber.
