Normally a fan of EH work but this was my least favorite. Characters were annoying, book too long, did not like the epilogue perspective at all...

Hello, Hayley Mills. Well, not really, but in an homage to the Parent Trap, here you have two identical twin sisters (who know about each other) that were divided up between parents to live on the different, but nearby, islands of Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard. With an intense rivalry and neither one wanting anything to do with the other, they are forced to come back together following the death of their father. And so ensues the drama, the resolution, and each other finding love in a classic Elin Hildebrand novel.

2.5/5 I wanted to love this but the many plot lines and characters were distracting. I usually love all of the characters Elin introduces but with this story it just felt clunky. I think Ramsey’s character was completely pointless. I also feel the ending was a bit rushed… however I did love the epilogue.

Like most of her other books, the character development is what made this book what it is. Even if the plot is just ok (like in this book), Elin Hildebrand is the best at making you feel like you know each of the characters personally.

I like this one *slightly* less than the others, but she still can’t miss.

Read because it popped up in a shared Libby account.  Cute and fun.   Just enough family angst to be believable but not so much to be unreadable or anxiety inducing.

Elin Hilderbrand does not disappoint on the summer reads! This is another great one! Family dynamics are always interesting, especially when there are identical twins living on different islands.
