While this book was very good, I did not enjoy the ending. It is wrapped up too quickly and too neatly, all while having clues (or lack of them) the reader couldn’t have picked up on. It bothers me when things are hidden from the reader so they could not have solved it alongside the investigator.
Still a very good book, and I would recommend it if you like Maisie Dobbs or are interested in the series. This was one of her better books in many ways, but not the ending.
