Such a great story!!!. Peeraphan was an amazing character and so well developed. I loved how she accepted all that was happening to her and was willing to whatever needed to be done to get the shoes off. I did love the romance as well. Perhaps a bit steamy for me, but overall, it was sweet. I did go out and buy the physical book because I had to have it for my shelf. Can't wait to read book 2.

Received as an eARC from NetGalley. 2.5 Stars for this retelling of both the red shoes story and a mix of other folk tales with vampires, bird princesses, and fae, along with others. While the take was okay the story itself over two days, I thought the story felt rushed. Not a bad story but I do not know if I would read the next in the series.

Some cool ideas, but the overall story lacked originality in a genre that is already pretty saturated. I wish they had delved into the Thai aspect a bit more. Might be great if you are new to romantasy.

A different take on the red shoes and Asian mythology

The concept of mythological and supernatural creatures protecting and collecting objects in the human world is interesting, but I didn't enjoy the execution much. The pacing was pretty fast throughout and I didn't get the chance to feel deeply connected to the characters as they went through these ordeals.
