This book is a heavy one. I really enjoyed learning about lesser discussed area’s that were affected by WWII. These area’s are physical and mental ones. The main character’s are very well thought out. But Sunny’s story will be the one that resonates longer than most, as her story as Comfort Woman is one of millions that needs to be discussed and remembered so that these women are not forgotten. I loved the use of music in this book it felt like a tangible character and it is a new perspective on music that makes so much sense!
