Perla Sambrano feels a new connection to Sambrano Studios with her half sister at the helm. In charge of casting for a special project, she knows that her ex, Gael Montaz, will be perfect for the role, even though his manager has already turned them down. She agrees to meet with him to convince him to take on the part of a lifetime... and accidentally gets snowed in at his house for the holidays.

This one is a Christmas story; it landed on my TBR as I was looking for fun books to read for the holidays, and it delivered. Chemistry sizzles off the page, even though the book isn’t as explicit as I know Herrera can be. Snowed in Christmas charm and heartwarming family love embraces you from the pages. I could have used a little less of the "the men of our family don't do relationships" vibes, but I loved the rest enough to get over it.

This could have been bumped up a little higher the the mentions of the FMC being “untouched” in the years they spent apart didn’t sit well with me. Also some of the dialogue in the spicy scenes was a bit much. But still a solid read.

A spicy and sweet holiday read about a second chance romance with a healthy side of pining. This one had me grinning like a fool.
