Poetry
This is a short book of very dark poetry. If you are looking for light hearted poetry, move along. If you are looking for deep soul searching, thought provoking, imagry, this is a great read for you.

Admittedly poetry is a genre I struggle with, so my rating shouldn't be a reflection of the actual quality! Check out other reviews first.
I think this is the type of poetry you have to be in the right headspace for. It is dark, raw, real, and honestly depressing (but not in a bad way?). It highlights queerness, small Indigenous community traumatic events, death, use and abuse of land, and much more. It was heavy and the language was thick.

"The Indian Capital of the World", "In the Fields", "Naked", and "Dear Brother" were my favorite
