This book was way more intriguing than I had expected for a typical YA romance (girl chases mystery guy).
The first half of the novel had plenty of laugh-out-loud moments and ample character development.
The second half...TWISTS!! So many plot reveals wow.... I only saw maybe at most one of them coming.
And of course the ending was adorable.

so listen i loved foolish hearts i really did so i had high expectations for this one but it just didn’t hit where it should’ve hit im not saying it was bad or anything it was actually quick to read but it was like eh? the plot felt rushed? loved the main character tho she’s just like me so 3 ⭐️ overall
This was cute...
This was just an ordinary ya romance. It was cute, light heated and fun. It was a quick read and might get you out a reading slump. I liked the friendship, romance and characters. First of the famous is a small town really didn’t have the famous person in it but that didn’t really bother me. The first plot twist I wasn’t surprised (I have seen the famous exact same thing happen before). The second one was with the celebrity so I didn’t care and it was very boring. The backstory of the love interest wasn’t interesting and it was very predictable. Don’t get me wrong this is really cute book but not my favorite and the only reason I am not giving four stars because compared to my other romance four stars it doesn’t stand a chance :( but hey if you want a light read with cool friendship and cute romance (kind of) read it!

This wasn’t a full 5 stars for me because it took me a bit longer to be interested in the characters and story (and romance! Emma Mills is one of the rare authors who can make me really root for a romance and I didn’t quite feel that with this one) than it usually does for me with an Emma Mills book, but once I got into it I was super immersed and I totally cried my eyes out.
I’m so buzzing for Lucky Caller though, I’ve definitely found a new auto-buy favourite author.

3.5 stars - I'm sad to say that this was the first Emma Mills book I didn't immediately fall in love with. Famous in a Small Town featured far too many characters who lacked any sort of physical descriptions and was really missing the family dynamics that Mills typically writes so well.
For 2/3 of this book, I wasn't particularly interested in the story. However, when the plot twist was revealed I became emotionally invested and couldn't put the book down.
Overall this was a cute short story perfect to read in the summer, but it didn't hold up to my usual standards from this author.

Emma Mills is capable of making you feel like a sixteen year old girl again. This book was beautifully written, filled with honest feelings about friendship, love and loss.
This book was adorable and I loved every minute of it.
