Can Emma Mills just write all the books? God, I adore her writing. I loved Sophie so much. She was smart and caring without being a doormat - so refreshing to see. This book surprised me a few times, definitely took some twists I didn’t see coming. I laughed and almost cried and I loved it all.

The concept of the book is a little different than what I thought it would be based on the title of the book. The famous person isn't really part of the story, but that's ok. Sophie and her interesting friends in the small town of Acadia, Illinois and the slow romance between Sophie and August are endearing. There is a twist I didn't see coming, that makes Sophie a more 3D character. The truth about why Megan Pleasant left town and didn't come back wasn't what I was expecting at all. I found it refreshing and the overall snarky tone was fun to read.

Standard YA, slightly funnier than most, won’t remember anything about it next week.

I really enjoyed this one!

Love love love this one. Felt a little to close to home though! 😅

3.5

Cried a lot (espec with the twist) and I think it's her best one yet??

3.5 stars

This was so cute. I liked the author's writing style.
I loved the group of friends to pieces. They weren't flawless but they were real good persons.I wasn't interested at all in Megan's stuff and that lowered my entertainment a little .Also, I think the author didn't use the band and that stuff well enough. All that made me not very interested in the first part but the characters kept me reading.
After that with
Spoiler the plot of knowing that Ciara was dead, I became invested in the story and I loved the second plot twist , too.

For the first part , I would have given the book 3 stars but I can't with all the warm feelings this group of friends gave me . All their conversions were nice and put a smile on my face.On a more serious note,The author discussed some heavy topics very well without making the story depressing and I loved that ,too.
I would totally read a second book with this group.I wish this will have a companion.

IF EMMA MILLS WRITES IT, I WILL READ IT !!!!!
