đ Delilah by Ariel N. Anderson
Tagline: a novella-sized emotional gut punch with a smiley face sticker on it. đđȘ
I went ahead and read Delilah, the Under Your Scars novella, immediately after being emotionally obliterated by the main book. Because clearly I hate myself and enjoy licking the salt off my own wounds.
Sheâs a short little thingâdonât let that fool you. Just because sheâs novella-sized doesnât mean she canât inflict permanent psychological damage.
This story ties up some loose ends and then softly dropkicks your heart for good measure. Just a smidge more wreckage, and thenâoh look! A whisper of healing. A wisp of hope. A gentle âshhh, youâre okay nowâ while your soul is duct-taped together.
Itâs a bandaid on a bullet wound. But sure. Letâs pretend this is fine. Everythingâs fine. đ„đ
I do recommend reading Delilahâespecially if youâve just been run over by Under Your Scars. It wonât un-break you, but it gives you something resembling solace. Which is saying a lot for this series.
Thanks, I hate it. 5 stars. đ€đ

So much pain yet so much closure and in the end happy for her closure and her dad really was watching from above
