nah nah nah nah nah, you got me reading 300 pages where the main plot is both of them fighting to get picked first, right, anD I DON'T EVEN GET TO KNOW WHO GETS PICKED FIRST IN THE END??? I SUFFERED through this book about HOCKEY, JUST BC I WANTED TO KNOW W H O GETS PICKED FIRST AFTER 300 PAGES, AND THE AUTHOR DOESN'T EVEN GIVE ME THAT??
I was originally gonna give with three stars but now it gets only TWO, the disrespect, smh.

I would rate this book 3.5/5 if I could.
While not my favorite in terms of how the relationship progressed between the two main love interests, the topic and discussion of mental health was definitely better than a lot of books I have read. Also not a fan of how every damn mxm book in the universe is usually about sex, like they end up fucking (many times, thankfully not explicit) before they actually confirm feelings for each other.

This was a great read, and I appreciate the care and attention paid to mental health and LGBTQ+ representation throughout the book.

If you liked Red White & Royal Blue, you’ll certainly enjoy this book. I had a fun time, even though I cringed more than a few times. My biggest critique is the ending, which felt like it could have used a least another chapter.
I loved this book, it had me giddy and giggling at all the cute fluffy scenes. My only issue was the ending felt a little rushed, and that I wish we could’ve seen the aftermath of certain decisions, but I couldn’t lower a star because the book as a whole was so good. I felt really seen in terms of how the depression and anxiety was portrayed, and it was wonderfully written. I can’t wait to read what this author does next.
MOST ANNOYING ENDING EVER!!!!! You can’t hype up something throughout the entire book and not even tell us who gets picked first! Sure they’re together and that’s what matters but come on, we want an actual ending.

A good book! Heavy topics and fade to black spice.
