what i liked about this book was that the romance wasn’t the focus. it was about external pressure, not having a choice in your life, and mental health. it also dealt with the ideas of queerness in a sports setting.
this book did not change my life. it did not handle the subject matter in a way that changed my life. but the topics handled are dear to me, and they were just nice to read about in a non-harsh way. even if i don’t think everything was handled in the best way? i don’t know how to elaborate on that.
in all: just a short read that i mostly enjoyed.

Eu AMEI esse livro, a história é muito boa e foi muito gostoso de ler!!
Gostei muito dos personagens e torci por eles, o romance é apaixonante e eu amei a forma que os assuntos sérios foram tratados, me emocionei diversas vezes.
Amei o desenvolvimento da história, como as coisas foram se resolvendo e o final do livro no geral!!
Mas o final, final mesmo, eu ODIEI, porque os autores fazem essa merda?? Quem gosta disso?? Importa mais é o meu cú!!!!
Eu ia dar 5 estrelas, mas por causa desse final eu TIVE que diminuir!!
O pior é que eu já sentia que o autor ia fazer isso, mas eu tava com uma esperança de que ele não fizesse!!

This was a super cutesy easy read! I noticed a lot of parallels to Check, Please! (Collegiate sports, hockey protégé with mental health issues, etc.), and the ending felt a little rushed, but I enjoyed it overall.
There definitely needs to be more dialogue about mental health in sports, and this book did a great job dissecting the pressure a lot of people are under.
