I listened to this once before, but I thought I didn't love it AS much as I could have, so I decided to relisten to it and I definitely think I took it in better this time!

Things I love:
-The anxiety and depression representation
-The focus on how guilt over having privilege while dealing with bad mental health can make your mental health even worse
-Json and Mickey's insult game
-Mickey's struggle with his relationship with his family (the bit where he tells his dad he doesn't even have a bedroom at his father's house always kills me)
emotional hopeful lighthearted reflective medium-paced

I'm pretty reasonable, when there is a zamboni mentioned I smile.

The characters in this were actually pretty good, MC had some realistic mental health struggles going on, and the relationship he found himself in felt realistic enough. I cried twice, but neither was from the romance. Far from the worst YA romance I've ever read (or in this case, listened to)

Very nice, very nice, but where's the rest of it? This really felt like the first few chapters of a story that should have been much longer. Mainly because none of the issues brought up in it could be properly addressed much less resolved in such a hasty manner, and leavings so many of them open-ended just seems in bad taste.

Also, this book unfortunately suffers badly from telling and not showing, especially when Mickey's mental health is concerned. But I admit that it's a challenge to showcase certain things as they are.
