“Nothing makes me happy. Not really. It’s not even that I don’t like hockey, it’s just … I don’t like anything.”

I am giving this three stars not because it’s a bad book or because I wouldn’t read it again because I would. I gave this three stars because since this a romance clearly dedicated to Mickey and Jaysons relationship, I feel like we should’ve gotten more of the time they spent together instead of all the time jumps.
It just bothers me that there didn’t seem to be that much tension, and with everyone saying stuff like “saving the making out till after practice” since the start of the book just takes away from that even more.

Just not the kind of story for me, it held my interest in the beginning. If you think this is going to be a slow burn, it’s not really. If I’m going to read a book where the main focus is a non platonic relationship between two characters, I want romance bro. ROMANCEEE. Especially since this is set in college.
Overall ehhh not for me I don’t think?

AAAAAAAAAH!!!! DID YOU SEE HOW FAST I READ THIS?! In all seriousness, this book is beautifully writing giving an outstanding perspective of someone with depression. This not only gave me an adorable, hopeful m/m book but also educated me immensely on topics such as mental health and childhood expectations.
