Career of evil

Gotta love a good cliffhanger

Career of Evil is easily the best of the 3 books in the Cormoran Strike series, and that's quite an achievement given how good the series is over all. Rowling has found her stride with this book, and crafted a clever, intricate and engrossing mystery. As ever she excels at characterisation and the backstories and day to day lives of her two protagonists are just as engaging and interesting as the main plot. She also managed to create 3 different villains that loom menacingly throughout the book, and genuinely kept my guessing until the end which one was the actual killer. Yet again she has crafted a superb page turner which draws you in to it's richly painted world and compelling story.

I cannot wait for the next book in this series and strongly recommend this series to anyone who likes high quality popular fiction.

Does not disappoint!

Another great one by Galbraith(Rowling)! I think she is getting better (if that's possible) Had me guessing until the end, which is rare! I loved it!

I swear, these books get more disturbing as they go along. Not a bit fan of the “bad guy” situation because I didn’t see it coming (there were more clear bad guys) but whatever, it worked.
Really more interested in the relationships of the characters! I’ll have to see if any more books are planned! (It seems like it with that ending!)

After reading the previous Cormoran Strike book, I asked if the things was always going to be him showing up the police? The answer apparently is yes, but I didn't care in this book. It didn't seem as deliberate in this book, more that no one was listening to Cormoran and his partner (!!) Robin about evidence that they had found. Exciting to see what comes next for Cormoran and Robin!

Best of the 3 so far!
