I shockingly really liked this book too! I have known Alice Winters to be OTT with humor and while there was some in here it wasn’t as much as Hitmans Guide.
I loved the detective aspect and how Felix and Lane were together.
I did feel like there was something missing that I can’t pinpoint on why I didn’t go for a full 5 star, but I did enjoy this book a lot. Joel Leslie did a good job with the narration.

MC2 hired to take care of MC1 makes some "joking" threats that he'll feed the other cat food if he doesn't start cooperating and then like the next day they have sex Whyyyyyyy Like I get the author wanted to have some sarcastic bantering or something I guess esp bc the blind MC was being an asshole but threatening to (or actually) feed pet food is something actual abusive caregivers do and it gave me big ick even if it was a "joke".... Also didn't seem like a good start to then go right into sex. the lack of buildup was definitely a big reason I DNF'd.

Felix - GOD, I adore him. Who else would play pranks on a blind person and yank him out of his self-pity? There is action, there are sexy times, but above all else, there is laughter. Don’t miss this one!

Honestly this trilogy is so funny. I love the mc’s banter and reading these is like watching an action movie with some spicy scenes mixed in. If you are thinking about reading this, I’d definitely recommend giving them a go!
