The music in the background really makes the story. Don’t know if it would read as well. The plot twists were obvious but the book is aimed at kids not adults and it didn’t affect my enjoyment.

Another great entry in this world where music is magic. We advance the story and lore a tiny bit as this is basically starting up where the previous book ended. I am wondering how many books it will be to finish a school year but so far with the events as portrayed we can stay in the 1st semester as long as makes chronologic sense...then again time magic might be a thing and we can just replay the same day over and over again. As long as this series keeps getting written I'll keep reading.
