A really fun exploration of a potential continuation of the Three-Body story. Didn't quite have the scope of the official trilogy, but still enjoyed having another story in a universe I wasn't quite ready to leave. Really high quality for what is essentially a fan fiction.

This book really is a great case for what makes fan fiction worthwhile; the author himself admits it, he was inspired by Cixin Liu’s storytelling and wanted to create more within that universe. And so he did, and I’m glad he did! This book does not manage to reach the same highs of Liu’s trilogy, and there are times at which it meanders without purpose, but it is interesting, entertaining and at times heartbreaking. A great work of prose, honestly.

It’s hard to think of the Three Body Trilogy without “The Redemption of Time” the novel manages to play in the gaps of information left by the original trilogy and the results are marvelous. Like getting an extra season of a show you love.
