Well, that was a satisfying conclusion for the most part. Bode/Dodge launches his final gambit on prom night and it's up to Ty and Kinsey and their friends to stop it. People die and since we're not up to our armpits in demons and magic keys, it's safe to say the good guys one. There were a couple moments that made me tear up a bit in the epilogue.

Any gripes? Well, I guess I wouldn't mind seeing some of the Locke family's key fueled adventures but that's not really the tale Hill and Rodriguez were telling.

The Locke and Key slipcase edition was the best thing I ever spent $15 on and no one else bid on. Five out of five for the last two volumes, a solid four for the series as a whole.

A good ending, but doesn't quite live up to the standards of the previous books, which set a very high bar.

A few of the things that I didn't like are spoilery, so I'll omit them, but the overall pacing seemed just a little off. I did like most of the video yearbook-type interviews, some of which were near tear-jerkers. And there was a bit of a reversal that caught me off guard and made me happy, in spite of myself.

What a brilliant end to the series! Brutal, touching, and just about perfect.

I was surprised how satisfied I was with the ending, considering how much build up the previous 5 books created. I was also surprised at how I didn't need it to go longer, but would love to revisit Lovecraft, MA in the future.

this is probably one of the best series I have read. I feel like when you read something so powerful like this story, you want the ending to fit your expectations, even if you don't entirely know what they are. you still barrel to the end to see what's there. hopefully what you find there hits for you like the series as a whole has for you. I think that's a sign that you've invested in the story, you care what happens and you want a proper ending. I feel like we got that here with this story. a wonderful read and I can't wait to revisit it in the future.

HOLY SHIT.
This series is so damn good. And so bloody consistent. It never felt boring or repetitive. Solid writing and amazing art. I am kinda sad that it ends here. I need more of them keys in my life.
