Tarinankerronta nojasi musta ihan liikaa sattuman ja hyvän tuurin varaan. Monet tapahtumista eivät tuntuneet ansaitulta ja tarina oli harmillisen ennalta-arvattava. Sen kuitenkin haluan sanoa, että päähahmon, Kaarlen kehitys tuntui hyvin rakennetulta ja rikkaalta. Minusta alku olisi voinut olla pidempi, että kiintyisi hahmoihin syvemmin. Vähän hassua sanoa, mutta minusta tarinan traagisia elementtejä olisi voinut lypsää enemmän. Silti olen iloinen, että tämän luin.

A good book, the stakes feel real. The character development is non-existent until the end. The burden of imagination of the world falls onto the reader. The themes of death and suicide resurface only at the end and everything in the middle feels like fodder.
The most notable part is the fact that how it handles the theme of suicide but the blending of reality and dream, but even then that theme manifests itself so infrequently it's hard to recommend it for that alone.
