beautiful witty dialogue, but also the main conflict is that these people are british and physically cant handle talking about their feelings

This is a typical Nick Hornsby style of writing and deals with the complexities of interracial and age gap relationships.

This is pants. It had a great idea but just fell off a cliff

- stop trying to make it about Brexit?! If I had a pound for every time the referendum was dropped into a sentence I could fund the NHS for a week.
- they do not communicate and it’s the most frustrating thing
- I wanted more juiciness

Great stuff about a 40-something divorced woman dating her 20-something black babysitter. Hornby does a phenomenal job looking at things from all angles as relates to age, sex, and race. A really good read. And apparently the Brexit vote was comparable with the election of Trump in the States. Both being seen as a regression in the values of a nation.
