I went into this because I love Gilmore Girls. It was one of my favorite shows when I was in high school and is now one of my go to things to watch for nostalgia and comfort. I was curious to learn more about Kelly Bishop, since I’d only ever known her as Emily Gilmore. It was interesting to learn about her career as a dancer, how Chorus Line was created, her time filming Dirty Dancing, and her friendships with the cast of Gilmore Girls. 

But, the whole time I just felt like she was not the greatest person and really struggled with her life choices. She came across as shallow, selfish, and a bit arrogant. 

It was very well written, though, and I appreciated learning about her, someone who is totally opposite of who I am and the life I lead.
