I wasn’t expecting to be so enraptured by this book, but Kelly Bishop has led such an interesting life, from Broadway to Vegas to Hollywood, and she knows exactly how to tell a story.
I enjoyed learning about her life on stage and screen, but really the parts I liked the most were about Bishop’s own personal life. I was so moved at various points, especially when she discusses her own abortion and the campaigning she’s done for the pro-choice movement. Her account of the march for abortion rights brought me tears. I started this book wanting to hear about her time on Gilmore Girls, but by the end I was glad that so much of this memoir was just about her. What an amazing woman!

Overall, this was a wonderful memoir . I learned quite a bit about Kelly beyond her time and role as The Third Gilmore Girl. While I enjoyed the conclusion, the last few chapters became suddenly overly sentimental and weren't exactly congruent with the underlying tone of the majority of the book.
