Durch Dirty Dancing und Gilmore Girls hatte ich immer schon eine kleine Faszination für Kelly Bishop. Trotz dessen habe ich mich nie intensiv mit ihr als Person auseinandergesetzt. Aus diesem Grund war diese Autobiografie für mich aufschlussreich und spannend zugleich. Als Zuhörer durfte man eine Menge an Informationen aus Kellys Leben auf und abseits der Bühne und der Filmsets erfahren, wobei Themen wie Abtreibungen, das Leben als Broadway Darstellerin und Tänzerin, Liebesbeziehungen, Trauer und vieles mehr angeschnitten wurden. Dadurch entstand eine gute Mischung aus Berichten über die positiven sowie negativen Erfahrungen ihres Lebens und was sie daraus lernen durfte.

Cannot recommend the audiobook enough. A candid look at the life behind the bigger than life personality that is Kelly Bishop as read by Kelly Bishop…phenomenal. I smiled, I rolled my eyes, I laughed, I cried. From the forward from Amy to the last line I was captivated. A must read/listen.
