Holy cow. Exquisitely written cover to cover. Every single character was fascinating and unique, if not lovable. Emma’s dad was my favorite of the side characters with his immense wit, charm, and dare I say, admirability. Emma’s journey in this novel was sweet, sad, and everything in-between. A testament to human emotion and attempting to process that which cannot be processed. Much to cause introspection, this book is ultimately a love letter to love in all its glory and pain; one that should not be missed.

Ow, my heart 🥹🥹🥹🥹 I am not well. You know going in that the ending is going to break your heart one way or another, but it’s still such a gut punch. I cried multiple times. 5 stars

Side note: the entire premise of this book is borderline unbelievable but the least believable part is that book store manager and a music teacher can afford to live in Cambridge. And she commutes to Acton? And gets there with time to spare to have breakfast dates? Does she leave the house at 4am? Massachusetts people will get it, everyone else just live in blissful ignorance believing this is possible 🤣

The writing style was mediocre. Did make me cry a couple times bc it made me reflect. But, I found it lacking the action and character build up in side characters. It fell flat. The ending also seemed too easy for me. Was giving Jess and Paul from New Girl and that didn’t seem good to me lol
