This collection starts quiet, but complex and rich in language, nature, and observation. And then it wilds into such wonderful magic ending with the poem "The End of Poetry" with the final line "I am asking you to touch me." Which speaks so directly to the reader seeped inside the recovery of the pandemic. Our loneliness and isolation, us desperate for connection. Thank you Ada for leaning into the fear, beauty, and anxiety of our times.

Some are good, some are fine, but as a whole, they are not really moving me like I would hope for from poetry.

Her prose are beautiful. I admit that it hurt to read; she’s that good. And because so, I could only digest a couple poems on a given day. I set it down and hope to return to this book again one day. Her powerful words tapped into something deep and raw inside that I wasn’t quite ready for. Whoever thought a specific cadence and choice of words could reluctantly open up a reader, creating a shared space for vulnerability; this poetry collection felt human to me.
