I was a bit surprised with how nature focused this was. I'm the type of person that has to stop reading and Google what something looks like if I've never seen it before, so it was a bit tedious at times. I now love the orange monkey flower and am a bit freaked out by the magnificent frigate bird though, lol! The title of the book ended up being my favorite of her poems
I decided to branch out as this was recommended to me…I am sure this is lovely, and profound work of art/literature…And it is wasted on me

ada limón, again, draws you in with her intimate prose and ferocious honesty. a perfect poetry collection about nature and the human condition
more so 2.5…. I just connect with the imagery. I read it and don’t feel much
I cannot begin to express the range of emotions this book of poetry took me through. The way that Ada Limón writes is visceral, honest, and organic. I will always pick up her work for as long as I am able.
