I loved this book and loved Todd and Angelo and their children. I loved seeing them become a family and the epilogue was epic!

On the surface, very sweet story of men with kids. And I enjoyed most of it, however, there was just too much going on. I don't want to bash it as maybe it was just the mood I was in and it didn't connect with me but I agree with every thing Macky said here plus a few others. The epilogue was just too much for me...

This was a sweet and romantic read. Fairly easy going and laid back, with a little bit of drama thrown in there too. I loved the epilogue, and thought the ending was really lovely.

This was goooooooood!
Since a few weeks I'm really into the mm with kids books. And this is one of them. I started this book without expectations, I even didn't read the blurb, I saw it was with kids and boom I started reading. And gosh, was it good!

I love the way the story was written. Angel and Marcus. Marcus and Angel. From the beginning the spark between them was visible. The way the explore each other lives, the way the love each other no matter what and the way each other they will do everything for the other, no matter what is everything you can wish for.

I will not say much more about the story, because you have to read it yourself.
One more thing, that EPILOGUE! Holy hell, amazing!

Part of the 2013 Don't Read in the Closet event, Love Has No Boundaries.
a great, sweeping saga of a story, detailing how a family comes together - great!

A story that once I started I couldn't seem to put down. I really liked that everything didn't get wrapped up in bright shiny bow of perfection. Yes there is definitely a HEA but also highs and lows and consequences to others' actions.

I really wanted to like this book, as it had a good premise. Single dad Angelo, raising his young daughter on his own after his partner left them on the day of their baby's birth. In comes handsome single dad Marcus, whose daughter is in Angelo's (Angel's) kindergarten class. Sounds like a happy, fluffy setup.

Too bad isn't wasn't well-excecuted.

We have Angel and Marcus in bed together on the night of their first date, Angel's daughter asleep down the wall. Half way through sex, Marcus stops when he realizes Angelo isn't enjoying it, and, after a short discussion, decides that Angel had been as good as abused in past relationships. So, I was all ready for a storyline that explored Marcus helping Angel through hang-ups and misconceptions about sex and his role in it. But, no, instead we got a mass in Angel's rectum that was blocking his prostate, thus inhibiting his enjoyment of anal sex. A mass which Marcus discovered while fingering him at the kitchen table.

Alrighty then.

The other conflict in the story was Marcus' search for his son Toby, who had been kidnapped by Toby's grandparents. They finally got Toby back, yay, but it was almost an afterthought.

I also had some quibbles with things that were done/said that made no sense. First, Angel, a kindergarten teacher, let Marcus' six-year-old daughter sit in the front seat of the car. Anyone who works with small children should know the laws and regulations about this: children under 12 years of age should never sit int he front seat of the car. Now, I understand that sometimes you have a car full of kids and someone has to take the front passenger seat. You make an exception. But they were the only two in the car. That was unacceptable.

Angelo says something about him and Marcus not being able to figure out how to play games on Marcus's phone. Really? Twenty-four year old men who don't know how to play the games on their phones? I doubt it.

The other big thing I had a problem with was, in the epilogue, Angel thinking that Marcus needed to bring his Viagra on vacation to make the most of it. They're both 42 years old in this scene. I think that if I 42-year-old needs Viagra, there's something wrong and he should see a doctor immediately. Maybe the one who removed the mass from Angel's rectum.

There were other little things that bugged me, like a lack of necessary commas and occasional difficulty in following conversations. I gave it two stars instead of one because the sex scenes were pretty good.

I'm so madly in love with this story.

The characters, the story, the H/C, the humor, the way it's written - it just hit my buttons so hard. I didn't want this story to end. <3
