That was cool. I had only seen the TV show. The story is a bit different than I remember but it's modern. The themes seem a bit heavy-handed but they still make sense and correlate with current events. The art style I like. It seems to be a couple different types, I'm not sure. But I love the panels where the background gets blurred like it would when your camera or eyes focus on the foreground. The one-liners are not as good as I remember, lol. But humor is subjective. I really do like the storyline and want to see where it goes.

Having loved static as a kid, I had high expectations for this run, #1 didn’t really live up to those expectations, but I am excited to see where the story goes.

Static is my favorite super hero and I love how fresh and new yet familiar he is in this new story. Connecting his powers to his emotions was a nice touch.
