It felt a bit formulaic. Lots of things happened. I like that it didn't have a Hollywood ending and there's lots of stuff to resolve in the 3rd book, which I will probably read. Warning, though it does have an actual plot and character development, it also contains a LOT of smut.

The main character acts like they're 18 maybe but they're actually like 25. And they are one of those heroines who are super powerful but need to rely on their ~morally grey~ love interest to stay alive. Idk this has just been done before. Interesting and will continue to read but like, probs won't recommend. Also parts are written like a meh fanfiction? Idk how else to describe it. And too much smut in my opinion. It's not ground breaking and sometimes just feel like it's there to be there not because its needed or a culmination of feelings? Idk this review is for me anyway. Who are you to judge my thoughts.
