I need more ….. like yesterday. 😭 this was by far one of the best books I’ve read all year. I’m honestly sad at how fast I finished it but cannot wait until the next one.

The Robin on the Oak Throne was a mixed read for me—but still a compelling one.

I wasn’t totally sold on the forced soulmate dynamic. It felt a little heavy-handed at times, but I understand where that lead for the plot.

That said, the way the magic system wove into that bond was interesting. It created some genuinely tense and emotional moments, especially as the characters started to push against what was “destined” versus what was real.

Kierce’s storyline was where the book really shined for me. The way her history unfolded, and how it bled into the present, added a lot of heart and momentum. Some of the reveals caught me off guard in a good way, and watching her reckon with her past made the emotional beats land.

Not a perfect read for me, but definitely one with strong moments—and I’m looking forward to see where the story goes next.

Book 2 and it was even better than Wren. I love how both the characters have grown since the end of the first one and how it continues all throughout. You have all of our favorite characters from book 1 and some new ones that add to the fun (and chaos). Poor Kierse and trying to work so hard to find out what happened to her parents and deal with her trauma is so heartbreaking. I did not see the twists at the end (won’t spoil it for you) and the ending is really really sad and heartbreaking. Lorcan is a pain and there’s something shady with him. I’m interested to see where the next book takes us, Kierse’s magic, her relationship with Graves, and how she deals with Lorcan.
