I tried the first book in this series a while ago and couldn't get into it at the time. So I figured I try again later. But I just jumped into the middle and really enjoyed this one. I liked the action and the MCs, and immediately dove into #5 because of the cliff-hanger.

This is another good one with many fun and cute scenes along with with battles.
I think my only complaint is that there are so many characters now that I find it hard to remember who's who and what their powers are 😅 I wish they wouldn't alternate calling someone by their first and last name.
My husband and I had a conversation that it's interesting Madero is the one in control that everyone fears, when his power is essentially turning into the hulk, and meanwhile others can poision people with a look.

I love this series, but it took me a little bit longer to grip this story, like I did with the first three. I wasn’t interested until the 40% mark, but after that, it was great.
I thought I’d end up not liking the change of narrator, but I adored Catalina and Alessandro. The ending sucked, but I’m sure it’s necessary for the next couple of installments. All in all, solid read
