I like the writing style and world building. The romance was completely unbelievable. They loved each other without knowing each other at all. It was very weird and forced. I couldn't look past it.

I wouldn't categorize this as a romance since it doesn't have a happy ending.

Interesting worldbuilding but I don't love the characterization of the hero as the handsomest, most awesome, most beautiful person ever!!! Like, can people just be people please... This applies to both heroes and heroines in the romance community, thanks.

I do like Catalina and how she uses her Siren powers. The world and magic really are cool. I hope Alessandro can come back in the next one more interesting than before.

Quite good, but Alessandro wasn't doing it for me as a lead. I really liked the plot with the Etterson case and the Osiris serum, as well as the reintroduction of Linus Duncan. It'll be interesting to see how that plot continues.

Alessandro's mysterious past worked against him, unfortunately; with so much else going on, he ended up being the least interesting component. Catalina, however, held her own despite simply not being Nevada.
