Its a well written story with an interesting allegory about the rise of Communist Russia, but i just don't think Orwell is My Guy- his world veiw is too cynical for me to agree with.

Regardles, I enjoyed this much more than 1984.

This was a re-read for me. There are three books that should be required reading for everyone: Brave New World by Aldous Huxley, 1984 by George Orwell, and Animal Farm by George Orwell. If you read and understand those three, you’ll understand what has happened and is happening in the western world for the last 60 years or so.
