Truly next level obsessive 😂 I haven’t felt like I wanted to fall in love again until I read this book. It’s exactly as described, a love story between Roman and Violet, and what a beautiful love story it was. The book’s told in third person, but there are chapters where it isn’t Roman or Violet’s POV, which can get a bit confusing. I think it would’ve been clearer if each chapter started with the character’s name (this would definitely help if there’s an audiobook in the works).

That said, I’m giving this book 5 stars because of how it made me feel. It swept me off my feet. Highly recommended!

Thank you to Jamie for the eARC! I don't typically read dark romances but I have been loving the Fae Kings of Eden series and am really looking forward to the last two books (I loved the foreshadowing we got in this book of Dean and Fawn hehe).

what I loved:
-how much Violet sucks at math
-the pranks Violet comes up with
-Violet's interactions with War
-Roman and Babs
-Roman and his puzzle hobby
-the dynamic between Roman's parents (Queen Sarah cracked me up)

what I didn't love:
-Violet came off as a Mary Sue
-Violet was the nicer of the two sisters but never really had a lot of friends? Especially female friends?
-Roman was slightly too unhinged for my personal liking (rather than touch her and die it's like look at her and die - book title checks out)
