I enjoyed this one too much. It had heartbreak, drama, some action, the romance and absolutely all the tropes booktok likes. This book is mostly romance in a fantasy world with very minor plot. I enjoyed reading about violet and roman mostly because their friendship and love went way back and wow did they had to go through so much. Vivian was the absolute worst but Violet still living her own life as her authentic self was really good to see.

Read this one if you like fated mates, fae, he falls first, “who did this to you”, possessive MMC and FMC, friends to lovers and there’s way more…

adventurous dark lighthearted medium-paced

After reading the first book, I couldn’t wait for this one and now I will impatiently wait for the next. These books are amazing if you’re looking for a light, yet dark-ish romance. I love the lengths the MMC is willing to go for Violet and how he ensures they find their happily ever after, even if it means they’d have to go against the gods themselves. It’s a perfect palate cleanser if you’re looking for fantasy and a morally grey MMC without getting too dark.
Also, branding/tattooing/marking micro trope. Need I say more?
