I loved this book for what it was. I loved how absolutely unhinged it was and how possessive the MMC was. At the same time, the FMC took her time to grow, and figure out what she wanted. She was very much independent and had her own life, her own journey.
This was the perfect balance of spicy and sweet.

Purely a quick entertainment read. Not a romantasy, but a romance set in a fantasy world. A little dark, a little possessive, but cute.
You know how some people classified some books as fantasy with romance as a subplot? Yeah, the books in this series are the opposite. Heavy on the Romance in a fantasy setting with a lot of spice. I won't tell you it was a good book, but I sure as hell enjoyed it. I especially loved the sassy pet chicken and that they dressed her up (i need someone on the internet to that to dress a chicken in skirts & bows)

I recently finished an ARC of Obsessively Yours by the AMAZING MS APPLEGATE. IF I had to describe this book in one word it would be FERAL! Absolutely FERAL an unhinged. Our MMC is absolutely 10 toes deep, Down BAD for our FMC. Did you read Viciously Yours and think OMG Rennick is completely unhinged? Well I got news for you besties, Roman makes Rennick look like a puppy. I did not think that would be possible but then Jamie birthed Roman!!!!!! You thought slicing a part of his arm off was unhinged???? Just wait until you see what Roman does for his mate in this book. He took it literally when someone said her name was not on his skin

I really liked Viciously Yours so I was excited about Roman and Violet’s book when I heard it was coming out. This one has all the things I loved about Viciously Yours, an unhinged MMC ready to murder anyone who looks at his FMC, smutty smut, and good, fun banter. I liked the idea of being mated to the wrong person and having to figure that out - it was a good twist.
My only issue was it felt too long. Viciously Yours was about 250 pages, which is perfect for a “fantasy romance without a fantasy plot” but this one was double that. I think Applegate Hunter could have cut a lot from the first half so we could get the to smuttier second half faster.
